Can I make codes for discounts from other apps?

Section titled “Can I make codes for discounts from other apps?”

Yes, if the app builds its discounts on Shopify Functions. Those discounts show up when you search for a discount in CodeBulk. Automatic discounts have no codes, so they don’t appear. See Supported discounts.

Once a job has run, download its codes as a CSV file. You can import that file into Klaviyo, or into any other platform that accepts CSV files. See Download codes as CSV.

CodeBulk generates codes and imports them into Shopify in batches, in the background. How long a job takes depends on how many codes it has. You can leave the page while it runs and follow its progress in the job list.

Discount codes in Shopify must be unique across every discount in your store. When CodeBulk tries to import a code that already exists, Shopify rejects it. Rarely, a network problem causes a failure too. To avoid conflicts, give each set a unique prefix or suffix. See Why some codes failed to import.

Include Job ID (recommended) adds a sequence character to the random part of each code. It stops CodeBulk making the same code in two different jobs, since codes must be unique across the whole store.

You can turn it off if you only make small sets with a longer length, or always use a different prefix or suffix. See Generate codes.

In your Klaviyo account, under Coupons → API Coupons. That view also shows the upload’s progress while the codes import. See Send codes to Klaviyo.

How do I put QR codes in emails or web pages?

Section titled “How do I put QR codes in emails or web pages?”

Use Generate QR code on a discount to preview it, download it, or copy a hosted image URL. The same URL works in an HTML email or a web page, and in email platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Customer.io you can make one image per recipient from their unique code. See Unique QR codes in emails for the URL and the template snippets.
